Privacy Policy for Habit Ring

This Privacy Policy explains how Habit Ring ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. We built Habit Ring to work primarily on your device, and we've written this policy to be as clear and honest as possible about what that means for your data.

1. Information We Collect

Habit Ring is designed to function without requiring an account or an internet connection. The following information is created and stored only on your device:

• Habits you create, including their names, categories, icons, colors, and schedules
• Your completion history for each habit
• App preferences, such as theme (light/dark), language, first day of the week, and notification/reminder settings

This data is stored locally using standard Android storage (a local database and preferences store) on your device. We do not have access to this data, and it is not transmitted to us or to any server we control.

2. Notifications and Reminders

If you set a reminder for a habit, the App schedules a local notification directly on your device using Android's built-in scheduling tools. No reminder or habit data is sent to us or any third party to make this work.

3. Advertising

Habit Ring may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks, such as Google AdMob, to support the continued development of the App. If and when advertising is active in the App, these third-party providers may automatically collect certain information to serve and measure ads, which can include:

• Advertising identifiers (such as your device's Advertising ID)
• General device information (device type, operating system version)
• IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This information is collected and processed by the advertising provider according to their own privacy policy, not by us directly. For Google AdMob, you can review how Google handles this data here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

You can typically opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (e.g. Android Settings → Privacy → Ads).

4. Analytics and Crash Reporting

Habit Ring does not currently use any analytics or crash-reporting service. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy to reflect what is collected and why.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The only external data flow described in this policy is the advertising data handled by third-party ad networks described in Section 3, once advertising is active.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all habit and completion data is stored locally on your device:

• You can delete all your data at any time using the "Reset Data" option in the App's Settings screen.
• Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device.
• You can also export your data manually via the "Export Data" option, and you are responsible for any copy you export.

7. Children's Privacy

Habit Ring is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If advertising is active, we take steps to configure ad requests appropriately for a general audience.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location (for example, under GDPR in the European Economic Area, or KVKK in Turkey), you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because Habit Ring stores your habit data locally on your own device, you are already in direct control of it through the App's Settings — you can export, reset, or delete it at any time. 9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when new features (such as advertising or analytics) are added. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
